Our Fulwell base opened in 1902 as a tram shed and, with 18 tracks, it was one of the largest in Greater London. Trams ran from the Fulwell site for more than 30 years, when they were replaced by trolley buses. In fact, our Fulwell location was the first in the London area to run trolley buses. During 2021, electric buses will be introduced for the first time at this hub.
James Barlow is the General Manager of our Fulwell and Tolworth Garages. James has worked in the London bus industry for nine years in both Operations and Performance Management roles and has also worked in the intercity coach industry. He has a passion for the bus industry and loves working within bus garages. James believes strongly in how important it is to provide accessible travel for all passengers whilst reducing the transport carbon imprint. “I’m delighted to be providing support at the two fantastic garages and to their drivers, as well as playing a key role in taking both locations into the future,” said James.
